Woof Buddy Just Got a Whole Lot Better

We've been working hard behind the scenes, and today we're thrilled to announce a complete overhaul of Woof Buddy. If you've been using our site to manage your dog's care, you're going to love what we've built. And if you haven't been using it yet, well, now's a great time to start.

A Fresh New Look

First things first we rebuilt the entire UI from scratch. Every screen you know and love has been redesigned with a cleaner, more modern interface. Whether you're checking your Home dashboard, logging Walks (yes, all 47 of them today), managing Care schedules, browsing Photos (because your dog is obviously the cutest), or updating your Profile, everything feels smoother and more intuitive

We also added a brand new Settings page where you can manage your account and preferences. In Settings, you'll see your email address, a toggle for dark mode, and the option to delete your account if needed (which permanently removes all your data no take-backsies). And yes, we finally added the feature everyone's been asking for: dark mode.. Browse at noon or midnight we've got you covered. Your eyes will thank you.

Say Goodbye to Passwords

Here's where things get really interesting. We moved to Kinde for authentication, and honestly? It's kind of magical. No more passwords to forget or reset (you know, the ones you always think are "password123" but are actually "Password123!"). When you sign in with your email, Kinde sends a code straight to your inbox. Enter it, and you're in. Simple as that.

Prefer to use an existing account? We support Google, Apple, X, and Microsoft sign-ins. Pick whichever works best for you. (We won't judge if you have seven different Google accounts.)

If you're signing up with email, you also get to choose your authentication method. Want to use an authenticator app? Go for it. Prefer email codes? That works too. SMS fan? We've got that option as well. Pick your poison – or in this case, pick your code delivery method.

Built on Solid Foundations

Under the hood, we've moved to Neon, a modern serverless Postgres database. What does that mean for you? Your data is faster, more reliable, and always available when you need it. Basically, it's like upgrading from a filing cabinet to a fancy digital vault that never sleeps

We've Got Your Back

Things don't always go perfectly, and when they don't, we want you to know what's happening. If Woof Buddy goes down or we're running scheduled maintenance, you'll see a toast notification letting you know – no need to go hunting for a status page. No more wondering if it's just you or if your internet is having an existential crisis.

Having trouble signing in? Maybe you followed a bad link or something went wrong with your login. Either way, you'll see a clear message: "Something went wrong signing you in. Please try again." It's our polite way of saying "oops, let's try that again."
