Pi-hole on Roku v3.1-release.4: Now with Logging!
Hey everyone, it’s Maddog with a fresh update for Pi-hole on Roku Without Router Access! I just dropped v3.1-release.4 on GitHub and I’m stoked about what’s new.
This release swaps out those old print statements for a proper logging module. Now you can track what’s happening under the hood way better—whether it’s ARP spoofing or ad blocking, it’s all logged clean and clear. Makes debugging a lot easier, especially if you hit any snags while blocking ads on your Roku (like with your IP at 192.168.50.xxx).
Pi-hole on Roku is still the go-to for ad-free streaming without router access. Since the CMD GUI in v2.9-release.3, it’s been super easy to set up—just input your Roku and Pi-hole IPs through the menu and you’re good to go. This logging module takes it up a notch for anyone who wants more control.
Check out v3.1-release.4 on GitHub at https://github.com/maddog1110/pi-hole-on-roku-without-router-access and let me know what you think! It’s all part of my journey with MadStudio—building stuff I love like Woof Buddy at https://woof-buddy.vercel.app/ and 404lab (on pause till next April). No ads, no data grabs, just pure tech vibes.
More updates coming soon—happy streaming! 📺
